Maybe, but the F-150 Powerboost puts out 420 horsepower and 578 lb-ft of torque and probably gets notably better MPG. It will be interesting to see what GM publishes for the torque specs on these new V8 engines.

The 6.8 weighs about 85 lbs more than the 5.0. I imagine an aluminum version would weigh about the same. Ford will need to respond to the GM 6.6 as it is rumored to put out 475 hp.

Looks like the wheel wells are getting back to a bit of a squared off look.... 2027 2026 -

Both of those are heavy, iron block engines. I don't see them showing up. I think Ford has shown that 5L is big enough in a half ton. -

I saw one of them on the Road the other day, it was in pretty good shape! LOL -

Is it me or do the headlights just look awful? Rest of it is fine -
Agree 100% Which is exactly what we do, give us a bigger cargo area. Aussies get larger Mazda CX-70,80 and 90 which I think is excessive but what do I know. Mazda are getting killed by the Chinese in Australia their sales have nearly halved in the past 6 months.

Although the 5.0 is smaller in displacement vs the Chevy V-8, it is a much bigger engine physically. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ford offer the 6.8 or even 7.3 OHV in the next gen F150.

That's the question, but it could fold up in the cargo area. Wouldn't be much different than manually putting your roof panels back there. I didn't spend much time thinking about it, was just a thought that popped in my head lol

Where would you put it?
