    Annoying reviewers!

Not uncommon to read, "gusied up Ford platform" or "pulled from the Fords parts bin to create the Aviator", etc. Yet when they review a Toyota, it's "The excellent TGNA platform from Toyota" when reviewing a Lexus. I've made similar comments on their website blogs, I had one reviewer actually apologize because enough people had "liked" my post he felt like responding. That's all really anyone can do, is help educate.

    Annoying reviewers!

That is true.. if the badge was changed to say some company with a T or H on it.. the best ever.. but if Ford, or Lincoln..no good.. I have a 16 MKZ hybrid.. heard the critics say warmed over ford..NOT… liked the looks better and a few options not even available on a ford.. but.. they drive a vehicle for maybe a day or 2.. and are expert on it.. sad..very sad.. but just like movie critics.. personal opinions...that is it..

    Annoying reviewers!

I just gotta rant here! Why is it that there's so many reviewers out there that say stuff like "well it's a good car but you may want to look at so-and-so"? It is so biased. I'd say at least half there reviewers out there are biased dumbbells, who can't realize they are fanboys of another brand, and have to mother hen you about what car to buy. As a person wanting to spend tens of thousands of dollars perhaps on a new car, the reader is most likely a car person anyway, and is interested in the car being reviewed, not someone's bias to another brand and the reviewers attachment to it's styling or speed, whatever. I've read countless Nautilus reviews where the guy says the reader should look at "more desirable" other brands. Who says they're more desirable? Just because they're more desirable to the reviewer doesn't mean they're more desirable to a person liking the looks, styling and other possibly unique characteristics of the car reviewed. What happened to the good ol' days where you might just like a car's styling and not another "uh, desirable" car from someone else? Audi and BMW seem to be the worst offender of brands that I'm told might be "better" but it's like we're not allowed anymore to like a car based on our personal preference of what styling looks good, and personally the wife and I don't like the stylings of the mentioned 2. Nice to see American cars are looking very nice these days, at least to us. It would be great if the reviewers just stuck to good points of the cars and just point out anything bad like "the transmission is horribly jerky" or "very noisy ride" something like that. I could be wrong here but even in the Doug Demuro reviews, he seems to have pulled it back a little bit and gives praise where it's due and stays away from the negative more than he used to. I think it's a wise move.

    Fusion styled crossover?

Hermosillo also gets the small 7-seat crossover to complement the Escape. Mexican production of Transit Connect and the small pickup will also allow sales into Brazil and Argentina. Cuautitlan definitely gets the Baby Bronco for Ford intends to sell it throughout Latin America. They would not be able to do that from Louisville. Fusion wagon reads Oakville for it will be the only plant set up for the larger version of C2. PS: Ohio makes the Super Duty as well.

Those mirror mounts are quite....large and extend way in front of the windshield. I certainly hope it doesn't look like that (or looks better in person).

Then ,keep drawing a paycheck and getting raises and bonuses and vacation days and paid holidays, and better healthcare!Looks like in the GM Contract, the majority of the buyouts are going to be from plants that are closing. Its all based on manpower needs.Going into the contract, many thought that 1st tier production employees would be bought out, so 2nd tier employees would have no one around,to be jealous of anymore and then be satisfied with getting paid less.I dont know what Fords plan is but we will soon find out.Right now its looking like the buyouts for my trade is,,,,,,,,want some more overtime!I am hoping for a buyout too.Once again, these are the highlights from the General Motors Contract,we work for Ford.results may vary.We can all hope, cant we?

Ford met there needs in the last few incentive offers. Fords numbers for any incentive to retire most likely will be close to GM`s (2000 production & 60 skilled) or no incentive at all. Ford made that happen back years ago when doing the closing thingy that GM had to hold of on, till now. 2000 production people getting $60K for a system wide incentive is most likely going to be met with more slot`s than takers. That was the case a few Ford offers back when the incentive went down to $50K. So many were just slightly upset when I showed them what Ford can legally do to a lump some incentive payment. But some of the faces and remarks after the incentive check was posted to their banks was, well lets just say real interesting. Those less than happy retirees back then were really made aware of the deduction process when the incentive was $100K. Can you imagine the smiley faces when a $60K incentive is posted at the bank for about... $42K? Give me my $11K and lumps... I`ll retire when I am good and ready. Till then cha ching every Friday.

$11,000 Signing Bonus for GM employees! Ford better match it or I'm voting no!

That's unfortunately the trade off for eliminating the second tier. The company saves money by paying workers less for longer. The endgame is one tier and one pay scale. Newer workers will benefit from it quicker (a $7 an hour raise in their 4th year! WOW), but 4+ year workers will still work longer to top out. I think that's why they increased the signing bonus. They didn't want to take the $7 an hour hit now, but were okay taking the hit in 2023. It's not fair that some workers will work 8 years to top out, while new hires will top out in 4. Maybe the UAW should try to get those Ford workers who are effected by that a bonus for each extra year worked at the lower wage, or a contribution made into their 401k's for their extra time. It could help get a YES vote from them, because that will be a sticking point for those workers. The company only cares about getting a 51% approval, but the union could at least ask to try to make it right.

Last time Fords retirement offer was 70k. Gm's was 60k. GM also has a limited number 2000 for the retirement package. Ford last contract made it available to all hourly and some skilled trades. If its 70k like last time Im gone.....Im gone no matter what LOL . Time to make way for the youngsters! The time period gives me chills. Be out starting Dec 31st. What a Christmas present!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Annoying reviewers!

Totally agree. I've never even considered a Lincoln before, and the funny thing is the whole reason I even LOOKED at a Lincoln was for the stereo!!! Crazy as that sounds, I was sick and tired of listening to my wife complain about the Meridian stereo in her FPace. Being married to a sound engineer she's even more picky than me! So I researched what car stereo STOCK is great, and possibly even better when upgraded. And the first thing that popped up was the Lincoln Revel system! Okay... well let's look at that! So that led us to listening to the Ultima system in an Aviator and we were sold, at least on the reality that you can buy a really good car stereo stock. Next up was actually convincing my wife to test drive a BL Nautilus which was an act of Congress, but it worked and now we're waiting for our lovely car to be built. While we've always been Jag fans, the problems of Jags and LR's are steep. I was super interested in the new I-Pace, but you read the forum problems and there's just no way I'm going to consider that car. It seems like American cars for the most part are more reliable. My ELR is super reliable! I look forward to having all American cars again, Which will be a Lincoln, a Cad and a Dodge Promaster...

    Annoying reviewers!

They mostly despise domestic brands and turn up their noses at Lincolns as re-badged Fords, even though they share hardly any exterior or interior parts. Meanwhile look at the models with some of the worst reliability and depreciation, and you'll see the coveted German ones.

    Fusion styled crossover?

They're certainly keeping their cards close to the vest. Hopefully soon we'll start getting some more info. We just need to fast forward to the upcoming shows. They'd have to do it right. I'd be concerned about pulling the brand too low too early. Nothing you see there is final anything.

It will be capable off road. It will have driveline control module and e locker disconnect (forgot if just rear or front as well). It will be able to rock crawl as well. Interior is nothing fancy but more fore utility, storage, and very easy to hose down if if gets dirty off roading.

The problem is what do you call the vehicle the sub brand is named after? Is the bronco going to be the bronco bronco? 😆😆😆

As info-tainment screens get larger, there should be a button on the screen that allows you to "mute" or have the screen "go dark" after you are done selecting a function for an "uncluttered" driving experience...less distraction from the dash. The screen would "re-light" with a touch on the screen. I can do this now with my Lincoln MKC, but I have to wade into the screen settings to do it. A simple "button" short cut on the screen would be great.

Ive been told of prototype bodies floating around but no finished functioning prototypes as far as I've heard. Wouldn't shock me if there are any and they're only out at night like the Bronco prototypes.
