MadManMoon 97 Posted December 31, 2020 I can't stop staring at it...what an abomination! I have to say, though - the effort is well-executed, even if I think the design itself is hideous.
7Mary3 246 Posted December 31, 2020 It's a Brazilian thing, they have been doing that for years. The 1959 Ford F-100 sedans and 1961 Chevy C-10 sedans actually looked kind of good. Kind of.... 1 passis reacted to this

snooter 178 Posted January 2 (edited) The interior seems pleasing and not "over worked"....refreshing to my eye is the center console in addition too the manual transmission....exterior is something akin to a taste for raw snails.....exterior sans "trunk" would have been my prefered design route Edited January 2 by snooter
atomcat68 564 Posted January 2 The interior would have been fine in the 1990's-early 2000's. I think it should have been left with a tailgate and cargo bed instead of a trunk. At least then there would be an option to put a cab on the back.
twintornados 2,225 Posted January 2 I remember a conceptual drawing from the early 2000's that showed a Crown Victoria sedan based on an F150 chassis...looked really interesting, but it never got any further than a drawing board.
Sevensecondsuv 355 Posted January 4 This thing is for when a crown vic isn't "built Ford tough" enough for you lol !!!

I tried to find the article, but when you put in "F150 based Crown Victoria concept" the only thing that comes up is a bunch of F150 front suspensions that were changed out to a Crown Vic front sub-chassis. 1 NLPRacing reacted to this

passis 66 Posted January 5 (edited) In their defense, I think they started by providing demanded vehicles that the automakers themselves were not building, especially SUV versions of the trucks. They adpated F-series into Broncos and Rangers into Everests, for instance. Once this Pandora box was opened I guess they got a bit carried away lol PS: now that i saw the picture posted by NLPRacing (which I didn't know of) maybe the madness was there from the start lol Edited January 5 by passis 1 jpd80 reacted to this

I recall Automobile Magazine had a piece by Robert Cumberford who proposed this way back and might have shown his sketch. Maybe that helps!
