I bought E10 87 at $2.78/gal in Norman this afternoon, then filled up at the Murphy in Sapulpa (the one that was at $3.13 on Tuesday) at $2.91 (also E10 87).
Honestly, I think that’s already happening right in front of us.
With the withdrawal of Fiesta and Focus, Ford’s sales are a fraction of what they used to be. So yeah, it’s leaving Ford Euro dealerships with a lot less vehicles to sell and service
And you can not shut down passenger vehicle sales as the dealers rely on that product. If you go commercial only, many dealers will shut down will negatively effect commercial sales.
I won’t pile on here but just say that actions have consequence and if the UAW think that
stone walling an investigation lead by the court appointed watchdog is a smart thing
then get ready for a raft of even heavier regulation.
If it can be shown that the UAW leadership don’t follow their own rules, then there could be
a speedy replacement of the people at the top…..
No offense, but were you one of the people that was defending him, and the UAW back when they were making outrageous demands? I'm not anti-union for the most part, but I am anti-greed and stupidity. He's the kind of guy to keep demanding more and more, and then wonder why all these companies are sending jobs overseas. He just doesn't seem like a smart or decent guy.
Exactly, it's not like I've lived with the man and know all the tiny details about his life, but I have seen how he conducts himself publicly, and it's not flattering in the slightest.
In Europe, the Transits make a lot of profit for Ford and without that, you close the place down
or run it a lot differently than the way it is now.
The bulk supply of vans to VW is also a huge windfall Ford Europe even with VW supplying
a Caddy based Transit Connect.
Ford used to be one of the top brands in Europe, now Ford doesn't even have a single car in the too 10 in Europe.
Too bad Europe is not a pickup-centric market. Many of Ford's rivals in Europe make their profit (at least a large chunk of it) from segments Ford has exited or plans to exit.
