In most cases it's as simple as prioritizing short term gains (meeting launch dates and initial cost targets) and ignoring long term warranty costs and customer dissatisfaction. It's human nature if the short term rewards are good (bonuses, promotions, etc). That's why the compensation model has to change. Saw this in IT all the time. We promised the customer a new release on this date but we're a month behind on development. So we cut a month out of testing and ship the new release with bugs. Then we spend 3 months getting it to work correctly and causing all sorts of headaches in the meantime. The sad part is the next time it comes up and we said we need the extra month of testing the customer would invariably say no we need it now and completely ignore past history. Same thing happened with the Webasto Bronco hardtops. Huge mistake. This is where the CEO has to overrule the short term thinkers in favor of the bigger picture and it sounds like Farley has done that.

Ranger numbers again shows positive growth but is hardly mentioned in the Ford preamble. Maybe this will change if the next generation Ranger (F-100) joins F-Series.

I think you could get a quality white paint belt on a Ruby Red, or any base color for a lot less than 12 large. -

That's insane. One would really really have to love two-tone to buy one over a Platinum. -

Don't give me hope like this 😆. I don't see there being much of a market for most 2 door products these days beyond mustang and maybe bronco, but maybe Ford could be bringing back more options, who knows. If they brought out a 2 door escort, I'd be throwing money at them. Might even buy it before I bought a mustang at a later point. -
Hi everyone, I saw that the 2015 Lincoln Navigator Order Guide is already available here on the forum, which is awesome. However, I am trying to track down dealer order guides for the earlier model years—specifically 2014 and older (pre-facelift 3rd generation, 2007–2014, or even earlier generations). Does anyone happen to have any of these legacy Navigator order guides saved in your offline backups/archives? If you could share them or upload them to the Dealer Order Guides section, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help in preserving these legacy records!

This shouldn't be something new. It should have been from Day 1. I've been reading this kind of stuff for the last 20 years! Every few years they get serious about quality! Is it the suppliers or the assembly line, or both? Didn't they have an ad slogan? "Quality is Job 1"
