Equally, is no evidence thst those in cabin fires attributed to the gas tank rupturing continued. Therefore the recall did what everyone expected.
and the lack of evidence to the contrary supports that view.
Maybe, but we're in a model Y with FSD (coming out of an MKC) because Ford didn't have anything close. I think a Lincoln licensing FSD or even going with the new nVidia end to end driving software would be a compelling option. But if they just want to keep chasing a dying customer base with minimal effort and expense I guess we can't expect much more than what we see. I'm cool with them pivoting to performance with some ICE stuff too, though I don't think it really makes sense for the brand, but I'd be happy to see some kind of direction. I know I'm all over the place on this comment, but it's kind of like "Do SOMETHING, even if it's wrong" for me at this point.
We know a bronco pickup is a possibility with this affordable gas truck. We've discussed Ford doing a Ridgeline rival. But now, I'm also starting to believe this affordable gas truck isn't gonna be an affordable ute wearing the ranchero name.
A sporty coupe ute is the only area for Ford doesn't have a truck entry. We know a lot of people like the look of sport/muscle cars but need something more practical. We know Ford trademarked the ranchero name awhile back, and we know Farley is calling this "A different kind of truck".
That describes a ute better than any other truck I can think of, as a ute is basically the least conventional type of truck you can find. An affordable, maybe 2 door ute.
If Ford thinks there's a market for that, I say go for it.
Umm...
This was for the EU.

It's hard to say. I would call maverick one of Ford's icons now, I'm pretty sure they've called it an icon themselves. We've seen other icons like mustang and bronco have multiple models leveraging that name, and in both cases, both of those nameplates were used on both ICE, and EV variants.
I see no reason why Ford couldn't offer a next gen gas powered maverick, and an EV version, Ford makes an gas powered, and an EV powered bronco, and broncos in multiple sizes. Maybe maverick can become its own sub-brand with different models.
Please do! That sounds like it would be cool. Though close, the interiors and materials were a tad more upgrade, or at least appeared so, than the Fords We chose our 2009 Mariner over an Escape, both were base models, for the nicer interior and the Merc had an auto dim mirror and hard wired keypad as part of the package.
Exactly, or what they do for the rear seats when they fold down for the midgate. It can be done but like others mention I don't know if it's necessary. Just seems like another useful option for a swiss army knife vehicle.
