I'm having that problem where you see a picture one way and you can't unsee it lol, I can't make it work the way you're saying in my brain. Hopefully we get some more pics of this thing soon.
The news surrounds the cancellation of an all-electric E-Transit redesign and introducing gas and hybrid models in its place, as a result of the pullback on a total EV rollout:

Not to mention that, before its cancellation, the next E-Transit was also supposed to be built in the Ohio plant and not in Claycomo:

It doesn't make sense for a "small van" to be positioned as a replacement for what would be cutaways and high-roof vans.
International has their own school bus brand (IC?), Freightliner owns Thomas Bus. I'd like to see a similar alliance between Ford and Blue Bird. The first Blue Bird bus was on a Ford chassis. Blue Bird is already using the Ford gas and propane propulsion systems. Why not switch the diesel from Cummins to Ford? On a side note, I hope the 6R transmission fiasco doesn't affect the Blue Bird buses!
Your reading this completely wrong-there is going to be a smaller van that replaces the gap left from when it wasn't tenable to keep importing the Transit Connect due to chicken tax. This info was posted almost 2 months ago and no news outlet has said the transit is going anywhere.
There was talk of an EV van for both markets and that is what they are talking about.
This product is one of the 5 affordable ones that has been in the news.
Not to mention the Transit is made in Kansas and not Ohio
