This is what confuses me about Ford's strategy. They're really leaning into their enthusiast heritage, and enthusiast products, but they keep making decisions guaranteed to piss off enthusiasts. Very few people who aren't car enthusiasts know what a Capri is, basically everyone who does is pissed at this thing.
It's not hard Ford, if you're going after the mainstream crowd, then make appealing, but generic crossovers like this. If you really want to go after enthusiasts, then go after enthusiasts. Stop telling enthusiasts with sports coupes they'll love this electric minivan of the same name if they really give it the chance. It's only serving to damage their reputation long term.
CE1 should be a remix of Ford's greatest hits, including things like the galaxies and rs200. Cars that you see and say "Hell yeah, I really want that" enough with this generic middle of the road BS muddying up historic nameplates.
According to an article in yesterday's WSJ, the federal watchdog appointed to monitor UAW activities is probing a situation in which Fain made some attempts to take action that would have benefited his girlfriend an her sister. One of the specifics is that Fain sacked a VP for failing to follow his direction to take actions that would have benefited the ladies in question.
Of course, innocent until proven guilty.
Can't imagine with a fed agent imbedded in the organization he would have the balls to do that but I guess he thinks he is bullet proof. Or the fed is clueless?
Yeah, Polestar getting precious about Capri looking like their vehicle,
maybe time for a trip to the optometrist as there’s plenty of small differences
People on Ford European websites are not just disliking this vehicles, they’re angry about it destroying the memory of Capri.
Now these people may not be lining up to buy a new Ford, this groundswell of hatred cannot be a good sign….
That's probably where I got the idea that one came with it. I just bit the bullet and bought a 2.5 inch shank. If I was going to have to buy something, I preferred to not have to deal with the sleeve.
I find it disappointing how they’re handling the Ranger. The Ranger has been tested to be very good at being a truck, so to not make it appealing to fleets doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. If they don’t want to build a supercab, at least add a 6 foot bed option to make the truck more usable.
I think their push to get people to sign up for FORDPASS was to collect as much data as possible with the average person not realizing it.
I will say it can be a slippery slope trying to go direct with customers. Just ask Nike how trying to cut out the middleman is currently going.
They used to be included. My 2022 came with one. If they cut costs and no longer come with the truck, they are cheap enough to pick one up just about anywhere you can buy auto accessories
