This is true and high profile, so Ford better have their stuff together on this, otherwise it will be very embarrassing for them.
This has been pretty frustrating. The lack of anything to be excited about has been pretty disappointing. The activity on this board has been much less than in the past, which I think is a direct result of the lack of products to discuss. The things that get talked about now are basically just problems, such as quality, pricing, the production plant situations, the status of EVs, etc.
My point was the speed in which the prices increased. I am well aware of how everything has gotten expensive considering that I built a house during that same timeframe, and bought cars. Consumer’s income was not even remotely close to increasing at that same rate, if at all. That’s why I think the price increases have hurt its sales.
It's not well supported. I'm kicking myself for not keeping the packages that my kit came in. I had to replace a wheel TPMS sensor, and local dealer parts dept and I spent better part of an hour trying to identify the correct replacement part number. IRC it's a combo trailer/5th wheel kit. Good luck!
I will suggest BlueTooth is not a stable platform. I have literally 30 different BT potential connections on my iPhone (don't get me started on iPhone rant). Because multiple devices attempt to connect at the same time, it can get more than frustrating. Between the radio in my 5th wheel which doesn't play nice and is turned off, my RZR SxS, which is also not running, and my truck all trying to connect to the phone at the same time, it doesn't go well. Add in the hearing aid connection to the phone, and it's a mess. I've had a lot of vehicles with BT, and while the Ford system is no where as stable as I'd like, it is still better than any other system I've used.
While this is not an acceptable solution, sometimes just rebooting the phone or key AND door cycling the truck will clear up the connection issues.
Cheap cars outsell expensive versions. Who knew?
Ford doesn’t want to sell more mustangs - they want to sell less but at higher and more profitable price points due to CAFE. Selling more at lower profit margins makes no sense.
