So, what exactly IS the reason for having the switches in the center console? I can't figure out why they would put them there. It can't be because the doors can be removed because the power lock switches are in the door. They could have run them all through the same harness.
Which leads to the question....Does Ford look ahead with a well thought out plan or jump to conclusions and or respond to the loudest voice that gets the attention of the guy at the top. 🤔
Like Ford Pro...All kinds of praise and its appeal to the "commercial" market while the only thing we see is Transits and software sales. Think the plumber/ electrician/ building contractor with 3 or 4 trucks takes the time to look at that info?
That's ridiculous....
This vehicle analytics push of "oh, according to vehicle data, only x% of people use this feature, let's delete it to save $2" is horrible. I understand that from Ford's side, they can save money if people aren't using it, but to those that do use these features, it's more and more things they're taking away while charging more and more. They're going to push customers away if they continue this.
While not ideal, they could at least embed it in the center screen if they want to save $0.50 on the buttons in the visor, at least so it has the capability...
