Yep, but on 2025+ it turns on automatically every time you activate cruise control. There's no option to set if off by default.
It's an extremely annoying oversight.
The current Ford China Territory (Equator Sport) is the same width as Edge (76”) and has up to 40” of rear legroom
It has roughly 107” wheelbase so similar to an Escape while the Equator is a longer wheelbase 3 row version.
What drives me nuts is that Ford developed these for China but never really thought further afield
than South Africa and a few close Asian Markets.
I’m hoping that the recently acquired third plant in Thailand starts producing multiple C2 vehicles
becuse these days, there’s precious little chance of getting anything out of Ford Europe
I saw this photoshop on YouTube today. I think it looks pretty good. This seems to have a more aggressive off-road body to it, similar to the scout or rivian. It would be nice if the ce1 truck was more like this.
The escape was Ford’s only affordable family vehicle. The maverick and Bronco sport just don’t have the rear legroom for families. While the BS is much better looking, it’s better suited to singles and couples without kids. Same for Maverick. I also doubt Maverick would get escape customers. They seem like different markets to me. Did escape sales go down with the introduction of the maverick? I’d guess escape customers will go to other brands unless these incentives are massive.
Why tool up OHP to build 50K minivans a year for just the NA market, cheaper to let VW supply the current Transit Connect with back seats to avoid the chicken tax. Better yet, the Transit Custom is a better size for US customers and VW might take some too.
This is where Ford's "chase profit instead of volume" model is going to fall flat (like I have been saying on this forum for a few years now). When these customers, many of whom were loyal Ford buyers, are gone, it will be hard to get them back. Ford casting aside huge segments of the population does not create a pipeline for broader loyalty to the brand.
