Which was a complete flop I do believe. As were the small V-8 diesels.
They had the sense however to pull the plug on them before they alienated too many customers.
And to bring this back to Mustang Mach 4 (four door) I would expect it to be
significantly lighter than the PHEV Ranger. That power train in a more usable
four door arrangement might be the ticket for a sizeable group of buyers.
There is good reason to be excited about Mach 4 prospects……..
My wife has a 2020 Edge Titanium with the Panoramic Sunroof. One day she went to retract the motorized cover/liner but when it got about half way back there was some binding and the cover/liner was pulled out of its track on the drivers side. Any advice on putting the cover/liner back into the track so its not sagging into the cabin?
Also, I was able to get the cover/liner closed but we have not touched it since.
What jpd80 stated above. Mostly discussing available Ford 4-cylinder RWD PHEV powertrain that could be used in a future Mustang, not the Ranger itself. Not sure why you think it’s getting sidetracked since hybrids and PHEV were first mentioned back on page one of this thread. 😀
And on that note, don’t forget Farley stated most Fords would have electrified variants within a few years, so would make sense any new vehicle moving forward would have that capability designed in. And for the record, not saying it will be the Ranger’s PHEV powertrain.
Hey folks, thanks for enabling my account!
I'm in love with my 2023 Mach 1, it's a EU/German delivery, 460HP, 6spd Tremec, such an amazing piece of technology!
Still getting familiar, and waiting for some new summer tyres
Glad to meet you all!
Best,
Arthur
I have a 1997 f250 Supercab 4X4 with a 7.3 liter powerstroke. On December 4, 2024 my truck ran out of fuel because it failed to switch from the front to the rear fuel tank. The switching valve on the truck frame quit working. I had it towed the the Ford service shop and they replaced the valve for me. They also put a new grey cam sensor on the engine. The shop said it needed it. I had the black cam sensor on it before and had 272,000 miles on the truck. On January 20, 2025 the truck had set for 3 days I tried to start it the 4th morning but all it would do was spin the engine. Tried twice more same thing. I turned the key all the way off let it sit for 5 minutes and it started right up. Truck worked until feb 18th, after sitting for two days it did the same thing. Twice more it was hard to start. On February 19 it was hard to start after sitting for 2 days. After starting I went to restaurant 4 miles away. Left cafe after breakfast, stopped at store truck did not want to start just doing the engine. Finally started, went home. On February 26, 2025 after sitting 2 days did not want to start. After a few tries it started. Went to cafe for breakfast. Left cafe went to grocery store made left turn truck died, coasted into parking lot. Had towed to Ford service. It's been there for 2 1/2 weeks now. It has to acted up once since they had it and their scanner said it needs a cam sensor. They said they don't believe it is the cam sensor though.
My thoughts at this point are that my old cam sensor was good. They put in the grey one because there was a recall many years ago but that grey sensor is the problem. I'm going to order an OEM black one from a performance shop and see if that fixes the problem.
