I think that's originally how Platinum was when they added it for 2016?, but then they added the 3.5EB at a later date....maybe it was with the '18 mini refresh? akirby
Apparently it did but Platinum trim didn’t arrive until the 2016 MY.

Platinum was for the folks who want all the bells, but a less aggressive look and suspension.

fuzzymoomoo
I do like that crease running across the side of the door, and the look of the hidden D-pillar. Much better than that big fat one the outgoing model has. Edited January 16, 2019 by fuzzymoomoo

As great as the profile looks, I’m not a fan of the front or rear. Those taillights... the integration of reverse and turn signal seems like an after thought.

Ah, so it's roughly the same power figures from the current 3.5EB. That works for me - Platinum has an increase in power over lower trims, but ST still gets the top performance setup.

When I saw the crease on the C pillar I thought that would be an option like on Flex.
silvrsvt
I a feeling that the Explorer is going to look much better in person vice photos-the Sport does look really good in that angle though. I really dig how the wheel well arches are done-nice little touch.
Assimilator
Explorer is all about proportions, something you appreciate more when you're in the presence of it. I really couldn't be happier with the outcome, the architecture of the vehicle will look good forever. I'd venture to say the differences between the new model and old model will come across better/more noticeable in person, where you can better see proportions, stance, etc.
blwnsmoke
$51k MSRP fully loaded with track pack on the ST.. $49k without dvd headrests.. so $46k range approx at invoice. My guy ordered a blue one for me. Edited January 18, 2019 by blwnsmoke
02MustangGT
Wow that ST pricing is less than what I expected. Very similar to the current Sport model price range.
Anthony
Yeah, that pretty reasonable. Much less than I expected.
jpd80
Especially considering the price of Edge ST
