2024 Ford Maverick street performance pickups spotted

Recommended Posts

Interesting. Maverick is a good choice for a street truck, but it seems like it should have a boost in power to go along with the suspension changes. Maybe they will offer a performance tune on the 2.0?

this seems like a good candidate to have body colored bumpers too.

Or electrification.  That seems to be the latest thing…performance hybrids.

you'd think it'd get some bigger wheels or fender flares or some graphics, or anything to make it not look like a stock truck with broken springs lol

That’s the trend with these small trucks.  Remember most conquests came from a Honda Civic.

Nice look slightly lowered. The body lines carry it well.

Agree, though it seems lowered quite a bit more than “slightly”.  The article mentions it being lowered by an inch or so, but to me it looks lowered much more than that.  Axle centerline (particularly the rear) appears a lot more than an inch different compared to body.

“Even a cursory glance at this particular 2024 Ford Maverick reveals that it has been lowered, presumably by an inch or so.”

It’s a lot lower because  at standard ride height, the bottom of the doors is aligned with the centreline of the front and rear wheels.

Given that this is another C2 variant, it seems almost like Focus ride height…

Definitely more level (less rake) than the standard ride height.

Exactly, also look at the change in gap at the tops of the wheel arches….

that’s gotta be at least a couple of inches difference, probably handles as good as a sedan
