Could allow for exports to markets prohibited by currency rates, taxes, or capacity from Dearborn.

I'm assuming they are going to stand up everything they need in country, which would require the tops being made there. AFAIK they still are having production issues with the US plant with not being able to make enough of them?

T-dubz
I wish we got square fenders on all trims. The black diamond grille that is gloss black looks nice too. Not sure about the tiny “FORD” on the grille too, but I could get over that.

I disagree - round wheels go in round wheel wells, IMO.

I like the squarish wheel arches/flares. -Motor1 I have a feeling Ford will eventually adopt that for regular US-built models in the future and not limit them to special models like the Everglades and Heritage trims. Happy european guy
I hope Ford star to import from China de Broncos destined for Europe. Maybe then could sell it cheaper than the American units. In Spain, the cheapest Bronco will cost 86000€… or 90000$. That is insane.

This article is about building broncos in China to be sold in China not the U.S.
bzcat
Bronco to be build by Jiangling Ford. JMC is a brand under Jiangling Ford. I wonder what will happen to Everest... Ford didn't mention whether it will be replaced in China. Probably means Bronco will take its place.

I know they had that bad batch of 2.7s, and a few leaky roofs, but I haven't heard of any issues beyond that.

Maybe the UAW shouldn't be pushing for an average compensation of 300k per worker between pay raises and better benefits while also asking for a 32 hr work week. There is no bigger enemy to American auto workers than the UAW. They make absurd demands, and then wonder why all the manufacturing jobs get shipped to other countries. For now, Ford seems to be pretty committed to building most of its vehicles here. But if the UAW keeps pushing, I can see than changing in the coming years/decades.

I guess something from Ford's icons lineup like the Bronco will do better there than the mainstream Everest in the Chinese market. It could also be exported to left-hand drive Southeast Asian markets. Edited September 20, 2023 by AM222
